We have received a request if we want to help build a kindergarten and care centre. Fina, who put the request is one of those we have had close contact with our other projects. Fina has, among other things help us to buy soccer balls in Senegal and was involved in handing out clothes.

The first thing that is important to address to you is that a kindergarten in Senegal do not have the same standard as in Sweden, but the goal is to have education during the days.

Over the past months we have gathered information about the idea to start a kindergarten and it is something we believe in, then we want to give everyone the opportunity to education and a better life for children and adolescents. We have visited location with Fina, where it is supposed to build the kindergarten and there is an agreement (which we have a copy) about to buy the ground there but it must be purchased latest June 2017 otherwise the land owner want to have the back ground and Fina loses the money she already paid.

There is already a possible land to build the kindergarten and care centre on. The land is located about 10 km outside Saint-Louis, where there is a need for a kindergarten and care centre because the children there have no kindergarten or school nearby, but unfortunately there is not enough money. This is where we start coming in, to help out to raise money in order to buy the land, then build the kindergarten ande care centre and finally start running it. Fina already own a piece of the ground when she saved up money and made repayments afterwards, but she had a baby and could no longer afford to pay the ground.

We believe in this idea, but you have also made demands on Fina. We will put great emphasis so the kindergarten will be as environmentally friendly as possible, and the children will learn and improve their waste sorting and what happens when you throw garbage in nature. We have also made demands the Fina has thought through how the kindergarten will be run without contributions from us. In Senegal, there are people who want to work with this full time.

We have 4 months to collect the money needed in order to buy the land. This will therefore be a longer project than before and is something that we will be able to engage in more and be a little more specific.
