Mission: Senegal is a project started by Anna Norberg and Frida J Johansson.

We started the first project in February 2015 called Mission: Footballs to Senegal, where we collected footballs and gave to kids and youth in Saint-Louis.

Anna had been to Senegal two times before she, together with Frida, started the project. The first time was in August 2014 as a volunteer. The kids on the street only had a small, ragged, orange plastic ball with no air in it to play with.

Anna then decided that the next time she came to Senegal she wanted to bring new footballs with her. Therefor she baught three footballs which she handed out in December 2014. The joy that the kids displayed when given the footballs was indescribable and Anna wanted to give more children that joy - that is where the idea for the projects started.

Mission: Senegal projects are mainly focused on Saint-Louis, Senegal.
